Creativity!

Creativity not only promotes emotional, social and physical development but can also support language and literacy development too.

Creativity and it's importance was evident this week with all the various activities the children engaged in such as expressive dancing, singing, making a pond for the sharks, building a beaver's dam, cooking with herbs in the mud kitchen; making coloured water to paint the house with, creating stories (the teachers scribed for the children) with pictures, making ghost traps, building elaborate train tracks, mixing paints, going on picnics; building aeroplanes and wheelbarrows with Brio Mech and trying out tools at the woodwork bench.

Even with so much going on we managed to go on a transitional visit to one of our children's new schools and got creative there too!
