Children getting into the festive spirit with lots of role-play that included "trapping reindeer", riding Santa's sleigh, going to space, superheroes, "night before Christmas", escaping from sharks. going on adventures into the jungle with survival bags!

Some children have been interested in shapes this week from building tall towers, elaborate creations using wooden community blocks to shape sorters and mirror images of shapes using mirrors. Building fairy houses, using guttering pipes to roll balls down, den building.

Mark making was supported by adults who suggested making maps of where people lived so Santa could find his way as well as maps for those who were going into the jungle (role-play).

Lots of gluing and glitter!
