The natural world

The children have expressed lots of interest in the natural world this week by making houses for snails, planting seeds, looking at real nests, counting spots on ladybirds, playing with small world animals and help given to naming them.

Lots of other activities included:

writing numbers and letters , alphabet jigsaw, blowing bubbles, creating obstacle courses, story scribing, den building and camping, problem solving using pipes, water & guttering (how to stop the leak),digging and building in the sand pit, building with Lego.

Role-play themes have involved ice-cream kiosk, hospitals, doctors & patients ,going to the moon in a rocket and being pirates who find treasure.
