Christmas has come early...

... this week with children engaged in Santa & reindeer role play outside (building a sleigh and finding items for presents).

Other interests included: building an "ice palace" under the climbing frame, decorating lanterns ready for the light parade and Christmas lights switch on, exploring properties of clay, exploring corn-flour which turned into volcanoes and dinosaur world, putting on a puppet show, sorting and categorising intelligent materials, making patterns with the new mosaic shapes, creating campervans using tap-a-shape activity, overlapping coloured splats, sorting coloured objects, mixing paints, peg boards, exploring the listening box (what's in the tin?), counting money, what's under the sea?, writing letters in people's names, singing nursery rhymes using Makaton.
