Mathematics was a definite favourite this week! The children explored measuring, weighing, size, shape, numerals, construction with blocks, clocks and how drawing combinations of shapes can create/represent objects or people and how using numbers can help to compose tunes.

Lots of role-play included fire-fighters (rescuing kittens), doctors, babies, mums and dads, pirates, The Hulk, boarding aeroplanes and reading while waiting to take off.

Small world marine animals proved popular too, with the children exploring books about the ocean and what creatures lived in the sea. In case we got hungry there were mud pizzas & chocolate cake being made in the mud kitchen and pancakes being made with play-dough.
