As the photos show every part of the setting was used this week and play incorporated many characteristics of effective learning such as engagement, imagination, motivation, having-a-go and thinking skills.

The life cycle of frogs, snails, butterflies and ladybirds still continue to fascinate children and adults alike. We explored the texture of bark and counted the tree rings, planted seedlings.

There was lots of water play, both inside and out; parachute games, shield making, painting on textured materials, matching colours, size and quantities.

Children were also busy walking the plank, building St John's Church and running the bed race!
