Bring me sunshine...

The rain last week brought lots of opportunities for fun and this week the sunshine provided not only warmth but new avenues of learning.

The children cut out a variety of shapes that were placed on the windows and with the sunshine it created a rainbow on our wall. Not only that but we had great fun making shadow puppets and shapes with our hands on the walls too. The coloured splat shapes on our light box allowed us to explore what happened when we overlapped colours.

Bubble wrap, bubbles, lentils, rice and pasta were also in the mix of activities the children enjoyed this week: scooping, mixing, filling, emptying, layering, pouring, measuring, weighing, problem solving, cooperating and imagining.

Even with so much going on, there is always time to sit down and have a cup of tea with a friend.
