It was wonderful to welcome the children back to Noah's Ark after the summer break.

Since April we have been exploring the Curiosity Approach and working on our accreditation, so the team were busy throughout the holiday creating a safe, welcoming, comfortable, engaging and curious environment. We have been replacing plastic and brightly coloured resources with natural and real objects that are more open ended; now there are endless possibilities for the children to be curious, creative and inventive in a calmer environment. We are pleased to say that the children have embraced the new set up with gusto, showing greater levels of well-being and involvement than we would have expected to see after lockdown.

Over the past couple of weeks the children have engaged in a whole host of activities that included teamwork and cooperation, problem solving, exploring, imagination and perseverance. Above all it has been lovely to see the children renew friendships and start to make new ones too.

With the changing season upon us, there will be new and exciting natural resources for the children to explore so watch this space!
